Vet’s Garage
The Vet’s Garage (VG) is a (monthly) subscription shop available to both veterans and the
public. The VG is located at 224 E. Pacific Ave., Spokane.
The Inland Northwest Woodturners (INW W) have partnered with the Vet’s Garage to promote
and teach our craft. To facilitate this, the INW W has a mentor/teacher available each Tuesday
(from 12:30 PM until 3:30 PM) and Thursday (1:30 until 4:30). We provide 5 ‘midi’ lathes, a wide
selection of traditional turning tools and wood to VG members.
Once a VG member is certified, as safe, on a lathe, use of the lathes is available during all
hours that the VG is open.
Ferris High Turning and Wood Working
We assist students through demonstrations and mentoring while turning on various size lathes and projects, while encouraging safety. The students are all eager to learn and make something they can take home!
